Naperville is known to a lot of us and home-town to many, however a few weeks ago, two men went street racing on Aurora Avenue through that town and got nabbed.
Bunedbek Burkhanov and Lorenzo E. Ocampo got busted for doing nearly twice the speed limit, doing 85 in a 45mph zone. Speed cameras weren’t in play here. They simply flew past a cop just before midnight.
According to the Chicago Tribune report, “Their alleged race began several minutes earlier at Aurora Avenue and West Street” which explains why the Hyundai and MX-5 were able to reach speeds of 85mph.
This just proves that Chicagoland Petrolheads needs to have an official drag race day where we can safely gather and test the speed of our cars. Expect dates to be announced later this summer.
